Springbank is situated on the eastern edge of Taynuilt, a highland village with a well-stocked licensed village shop, renowned butchers, post office, tea room and railway station. The town of Oban, with its full range of shops, supermarkets and restaurants, is only 12 miles away.

Springbank is located on the B845 (signposted to Kilchrenan), just off the main A85 road. Follow the B845 up the hill, taking care with the sharp right hairpin bend. Springbank is the first house on the right hand side. The entrance to the driveway is between two stone pillars.

From Glasgow and Lomond:

Follow the A82 to Tyndrum, then the A85 toward Oban. Shortly after the speed limit signs coming into Taynuilt, take the first turn left onto the B845 (signposted to Kilchrenan).

From Oban:

Take the A85 towards Glasgow. Taynuilt is 12 miles east of Oban. Drive through Taynuilt and turn right at the B845.

By train:

There are trains from Glasgow to Taynuilt station. The journey takes a little under three hours, with spectacular scenery along the way. Springbank is about 10 minutes' walk from the station. Turn right out of the station and walk past the shops to the crossroads at the A85 main road (the Taynuilt Hotel will be in front of you). Turn left and follow the main road. Turn right at the B845 junction signposted to Kilchrenan.

For connections from the south, fly or take the train to Glasgow and rent a car, or take the quick airport bus to Glasgow Queen Street station and then the Oban train (as above). Alternatively, the overnight sleeper train from Euston calls at Upper Tyndrum, about half an hour away by taxi.
